You may remember I shared my living room makeover here a few months ago. One project we didn’t get to in this space was replacing the outlets. My husband wanted to switch out the receptacles that were an off white, yellowish color with white ones. When a new building is built, electrical contractors are an indispensable part associated with the process. they will have to prepare a blueprint which will specify where all electrical wiring will go. They will place something called conduits into the walls which will keep the electrical wires that will supply electricity to all your plug sockets and power outlets. Should air conditioning and heating systems be required within the building, the electricians will want to install the appropriate wirings. Do not forget that lighting and other electrical circuits for stoves will need to be installed by a qualified electrician. When the building is completed, the electrical contractor will install the plug sockets and power outlets, which will provide the electricity for all your electrical equipment.
Connect the ground wire. If a metal box, cut (2) eight inch lengths of bare copper wire, and combine them and the bare wire from the Romex® cable under a properly sized wirenut. The free end of one wire will connect to the green ground screw of the outlet, and the other free end is to be connected to the metal box with a green screw (expressly for that purpose) or other approved means (special clips, etc). If a plastic (or other non-conductive material) box is used, simply connect the bare copper wire directly under the green screw of the outlet.
Very, Very expensive installation to replace 5 ceiling fans. $116.00 per fan plus a trip charge. Three of the fans wobble on high speed. The technician said that he didn’t have time to balance the fans…..and explained how to do it myself. Not smiling!
