Upgrade To 200 Amp Panel 928.203.6503 Groom Creek Arizona
These are infamous for melted circuit breakers or bus bars. Zinsco panels may seem to work properly for years and the problems are not easy to spot even with the panel cover off. It’s not uncommon to find a breaker that can not be removed from the bus bar because they are welded together. Sometimes, the breaker appear to be off while they still allow current to flow. Again, these should be replaced and upgraded to a new modern panel with circuit breakers.

The work was done by Glenn who explained everything to me before he started. He was efficient and courteous and friendly. I’ve used Midway before for duct cleaning and I am pleased to be a customer. Thank you.
Installing solar on your home requires increased capacity for electricity. Choosing not to upgrade your electrical panel could prevent you from larger home additions such as a adding a spa, pool, electric vehicle, or increasing square footage to your home.
Unless the homeowner is knowledgeable in home electrical systems, the installation of a new circuit panel is not really a “DIY” project. Traditionally installation is done by a professionally licensed electrician and only after all local planning permits and approvals are received. The project will include:
PLEASE NOTE: During the panel upgrade you will not have power for the majority of the day, from roughly 8 AM to 1 PM. If you have any difficulties with the electricity outage during your panel upgrade, we will provide you with a generator upon request. Please notify your project manager if you would like to borrow a generator for that day.
Electric panel upgrades are NOT a do-it-yourself project. Fortunately, we have professional electricians at Midway Services who are ready to fix your electrical panel issues. Our technicians are available 24/7 with one-hour emergency service available when scheduling permits.
Don’t wait any longer – maximize the efficiency of your home’s electrical system today! In our wired world, we add to the gallery of electronic devices in our homes regularly. Many electric panel upgrades are necessary just to maintain the increasing demands of our electronics and appliances.
If you’re thinking about making a major improvement to your home, don’t forget to assess the additional power that you will need. Room additions, kitchen remodels and major appliances such as heating & air conditioning systems, hot tubs, double ovens, garage door openers, and outdoor lights all may require an expanded breaker box and electrical panel. You may have to add outlets to a wall, or add special 240-volt circuits, or add a sub-panel for a generator. If your body add a few pounds of muscle, your heart will have to pump more, right,
We had an emergency with our AC unit one evening and Midway Services sent out HVAC service Dom L. He was fantastic! He temporarily fixed the problem so our AC worked that night until the part came in a few days later. Dom sat with us and gave us all of our options with prices. He made us feel very comfortable in choosing the best option for us (even since our unit was a quite few years old.) He was very upfront and honest on our options and let us choose the best route for us. We appreciated his honesty. We had some water leaking a few days later and we requested Dom back and he fixed the leak and replaced all the new parts that came in. He worked very hard and cleaned over and beyond (it was more cleaning that he thought.) He even took our wet rugs (we had in our garage) out to dry! He went over and beyond. He was very knowledgeable, hard working, kind and explained everything to us thoroughly. We would highly recommend Midway Services to everyone. They are very reliable, hard working, honest and Dom was exceptional!
Thankfully these panels were taken off the market in the mid-1970s. They have a defective design that allows power to flow even when the breakers are switched off. Breaker switches also melt, which basically renders them useless. Zinsco electrical panels are fire and shock hazard. Replace them with a new electrical panel immediately.
In the modern era where electronics aren’t just a luxury but a way of life, upgrading an electrical panel to handle that extra load adds both function and value to your home. Homes from as late as the 1980s may not provide sufficient power to run modern devices, which should be a minimum of 100 amps — though most modern homes have a need for 200 amps.
The prices of electrical permits and inspections are so high and although copper is at a low price right now, the amount of available electrical journeyman to hire is really low in the shadow of the demand for them. This has driven electrician wages up and therefore prices of such services. We charged 1200-1500 last year on average and now we have to charge 1800-2000 just to cover rising costs.
Circuit breaker panels have a life span of 25-40 years. If yours is older than that; if it’s in poor condition; or if it’s old and has only a few circuits, and your breakers DO NOT trip … those can be danger signs as well.
Purchase of a new panel – this is an issue that is best done after reviewing the home’s needs with the electrician, since the panels are available in many sizes, as indoor or outdoor units, combinable with the meter 1, and with a range of available circuit spaces;
It would be tough. The entire forward fuselage of the 1961 and later 172s is a quite different design – including the panel, glareshield, windshield, upper cowl, control column location, and so on. If you’re looking to have gyro instruments with venturi tubes you need a vacuum pump, and the O-300 engine in the pre-1961 models was not designed to accommodate one.
To do that you must change the whole boot cowl. simply because the bulkhead station that forms the structure for the instrument panel is different one is the round type, and the other is squarish, that makes the firewall a different shape. so every thing forward of the door post must be changed. it is easier to buy a whole fuselage. and deal with the data tag issues with OKC
Electrical repairs are dangerous. The perils of replacing your box are too many to consider doing it yourself. When a property owner has decided to upgrade, he or she should find a licensed and insured electrician. Leave electrical system issues to trained professionals who know exactly how to handle them. Pros pull the proper permits and work with your local power supplier. A professional will also be familiar with current code and safety requirements. This will ensure your family is safe from hazards, as well as prevent expensive repairs in the future.
When you look inside the breaker box you will see some rows of switches. This is the electrical panel. It distributes the main power line into smaller branch lines. Some of the switches are doubled or tripled together because they are larger branches designed to power appliances that require the most electricity. Inside the breaker box door, there should be a label that maps out the locations of the outlets and appliances according to the numbers on the switches. The switches also have numbers on the switch itself that tell you how many amps the branch line can carry before the breaker switch is tripped off. The electrical panel also has a main power breaker that can turn off power to the whole system.
Your home’s heart might have a serious defect if it’s more than 25 years old, because there are some electrical panels back then that now have known safety issues due to poor designs. Electrical panels installed after 1990 are generally well designed and safe. Call Mr. Electric right away to replace the following types of defective panels:

Your house was built long time ago if you have fuse box to distribute power. Many homeowners get annoyed with replacing blown fuses due to many more appliances we’re all using today and often increase the size of the blown fuse to “solve the problem”. Wiring gets overloaded and overheated. This is a serious fire hazard. The real solution is to update your electric service and install high quality electrical panel with circuit breakers.
Updating a panel has a lot of advantages. Most older homes only used enough electricity to need 100 amps, but modern equipment often requires as many as 200 amps. Homeowners who upgrade can install new devices and appliances without the fear of running out of juice or breaking their system.
“I have requested Shane as my tech and Midway has gone out of there way to make him available. Jeff has also been involved in resolving my A/C issues. Midway’s techs, operators and senior officers have gone above the normal customer service regarding my A/C units. I own a large laundromat and have two large units that require scheduled maintenance and work. I am please with Midways service.”
Just wondering whether or not you use a torquing screwdriver, Electrical inspectors in my area are asking to see the device used for the installation and its certification before signing off. I was skeptical at first but now have seen data showing that even the most experienced electricians can vary widely from the recommended torque settings when going by “feel.”
